Is Creationism Wrong?

Creationism is the central concept for the origin of life found in the Bible. It is a fact about the origin and the diversity of life on this planet. If you are skeptical, and unfamiliar with the concepts of science, and the terminology of the Bible, and confused by the overwhelming evidence of creationism, you might be tempted to say it is just a story.

The Words of the Bible are not theories but revelations from the only eyewitness to the origin of life which is God Himself. The Bible records, "In the beginning God created." It is a very simple sentence but contains a wealth of knowledge and scientific agreement.

No polls need to be taken to disprove the accurate account of Scripture. Many believe it because they believe in the Bible. Even without scientific support, many will continue to believe God rather than men.

"Let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged" Romans 3:4.

Creationism is an important fact. It tells us where we came from and the nature of our Creator. It should produce fear in us knowing that a Supreme Being outside the realm of our natural existence has power to create and destroy.

We see many attacks on the Bible from men who desire to disprove and invalidate Scripture. If wishful men could only disprove the creation account then they could also disprove or cast doubt on the rest of the Bible. They seek a following that says men are in control of their own destiny and not a creator.

There are only two positions you can take on the origin of life. You can either believe God or choose not to believe. The faithful or literalist knows that if God could be found in a lie then He could not be trusted. Is God a liar or does He always tells the truth?

"O Lord God, thou art that God, and thy words be true" 2 Samuel 7:28

Creationism is not merely a concept of faith. There is an abundance of evidence that support creationism. God's handiwork is not told in words alone. His creation speaks or declares the awesomeness of God.

"Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge" Psalms 19:2.

"That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else" Isaiah 45:6.

The idea that all species have a common ancestor is true. We are all descended from God.

"Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things" Isaiah 40:26.

The religious know the fact that we have all come from God. For many millenniums we have known the truth about creation. It is nothing new. God is the Father of us all. In our prayers we address Him as "Our Father in Heaven."

From the study of DNA we find that that in every living creature on the planet there is a unique blueprint. You can call it a map of the living creature's genetic makeup. This is called DNA and it influences everything from the organism’s physical structure to its appearances and even its mental processes. Biologist has found that in our vast differences, our DNA is actually a lot more alike than different.

Ask yourself, Why are we different? And then why are we the same? We are different because God has set up boundaries in our genetic makeup.

"And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so" Genesis 1:24.

Everything was made after "his kind." We can find similarities and uniqueness among species, however, we were created by One God. His handiwork is evident from observing all the different kinds of living creatures. His design suggests that we were all created out of the same genetic materials of life. The DNA strands are very similar among humans and animals with not that much difference.

The fact we share a common creator is by no means declaring we have descended from each other. Creation didn't stem forth from one creature by transforming itself into another. Human's DNA is very similar to primates but Humans were never chimpanzees.

Humans, chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans and their extinct ancestors form a family of organisms known as the Hominidae. Researchers generally agree that the living animals within this group, humans are most closely related to chimpanzees, judging from comparisons of anatomy and genetics.

The closeness of our DNA does not conclude that we are all descended from each other. Our DNA strands are very similar with animals. 96% of our DNA is similar with those of chimps, 64% with horses and around 35% with grain. This indicates that all living organisms share likeness in DNA but does not indicates common ancestry. It indicates a common Creator.

"Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves" Psalms 100:3.

One of the teachings in my understanding of Creation is the word "adaptation." Creatures do adapt to their environments and they also are culled by the creator. God has a way of making sure that certain chosen in a species survive while others do not. Men before the flood were culled in that special way; it was only Noah and His family that survived the flood. God selected a few from many to live upon the earth.

"For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly" 2 Peter 2:4-5.

There was no natural selection involved. There were natural occurrences that caused the flood, however; it was all orchestrated by God.

"And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth. And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered" Genesis 7:17-19

"Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them" 6:26.

There is nothing new about living creatures being able to adapt. If they couldn't adapt to their environments, they would all die. God watches over His creation and makes sure that they survive.

Birds that nest in the northern hemisphere tend to migrate northward in the spring to take advantage of the growing insect populations, abundance of plants and secure nesting locations. As winter approaches, and the availability of insects and other food resources drops, the birds move south again.

Who gave the bird the migrating instinct? Who instilled in them their innate abilities? Scientists are baffled. They just don't know.

Christians know the  answers that perplexes most godless scientists. God designed migrating birds with innate abilities. It is a simple answer from an easy book to read. The Bible has all the answers pertaining to life and godliness.

In concluding, evolution is about to fall. Not from religious zealots but from sound science. Science is refuting the theory of evolution everyday. When they put all their data together they will see the whole picture.
