I do not endorse or recommend the Jehovah Witnesses. The New
World Translation is not the Word of God, but it does contain some of His
Words. Always use the time honored, time proven, King James Version of the
Bible. Don't be satisfied with some of the light when you can have all of the
Light. The KJV will bless you as you grow to maturity in Christ.
Print this sermon out and use it in your witnessing for
Jesus Christ. I have had many Jehovah Witness upset with the facts contained in
this sermon. The truth has a way of making them run in terror.

JEHOVAH GOD
The Jehovah Witness Bible: New World Translation, teaches us
about the great God Jehovah.
Deut. 6:4-6- says.
"Listen. O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah. And you must love Jehovah your God with all your heart and all your soul and
all your vital force."
And in Deut. 10:17 it tells us,
"Jehovah YOUR God is the God of gods and the Lord of
lords, the God great, mighty and fear inspiring...."
Is. 43:10 says,
"Before me there was no God formed, and after me there
continued to be none."
We learn from these passages of scripture that Jehovah is
one God who alone is to be feared, loved and obeyed. Scripture declares that He
is everlasting God deserving of all obeisance, glory, and honor: for He alone
is Jehovah God.
"I am Jehovah. That is my name: and to no one else shall
I give my own glory, neither my praise to graven images" Is. 42:8.
JEHOVAH IS CREATOR,KING, AND SAVIOR
It was Jehovah God who created the heavens and the earth (Genesis
1:1). And it is Jehovah who is King of Israel and King of the universe.
"I am Jehovah YOUR Holy One, the Creator of Israel,
YOUR King." Is. 43:15.
It. is stated again in Ps. 47:7-8,
"For God is King of all the earth.....God has become King
over the nations."
And God's Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom.
"Jehovah is King to time indefinite. Even forever"
Ps 10:16.
And then we joyfully discover that Jehovah is savior.
"I am Jehovah and besides there is no savior" Is.
43:10.
In Is. 45:21 you find,
"Is it not I, Jehovah besides whom there is no other
God: a righteous God and a Savior, there being none excepting me?"
"Turn to me and be saved. all YOU [at the]ends of the
earth; for I am God, and there is no one else."
These revelations are clear: Jehovah alone is God, Creator, King,
Lord, and Savior. But then something mysterious happens: Jesus is born in
Bethlehem, born of a virgin. His virgin mother is overjoyed at the prospect of His
birth and magnifies Jehovah by saying,
"My soul magnifies Jehovah, and my spirit cannot keep
from being overjoyed at God my Savior" Luke 1:47.
And then it happens; Jesus is born. Immediately there
follows an angelic announcement
from Jehovah saying,
"Have no fear, for, look! I am declaring to YOU good news
of a great joy that all the people will have, because there was born to YOU today
a Savior, who is Christ [the] Lord in David's city" Luke 2:10-11.
The mystery begins, and we question: Why did the angel call
Jesus: Savior, Christ, and Lord?
JESUS: CREATOR, KING, AND SAVIOR
The Apostle John describes the birth of Jesus Christ in this
way,
"The Word became flesh and resided among us" John
1:14.
And,
"All things came into existence through him, and apart
from him not even one thing came into existence" John 1:3.
The apostle Paul says to the brothers at Colossae,
"All things have been created through him and for
him." Colossians 1:16.
John the Baptist gave witness to Him when he declared,
"See, the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the
world" John 1:29.
The Book of Revelation gives reference to the Lamb of God
when he is called,
"Lord of lords and King of kings" Rev. 17:14.
And his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
"The everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ" 2 Peter 1:11.
Not only did the holy apostles say Jesus was Creator, King,
Lord, and Savior; they also declared that the angels were subject to him,
"And let all God's angels do obeisance to him." Hebrews
1:6.
In the book of Matthew 13:41 it says,
"The Son of man will send forth his angels, and they will
collect out from his kingdom all things that cause stumbling and persons who
are doing lawlessness."
And we also like the angels must honor him,
"That all may honor the Son just as they honor the
Father. He that does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him." John 5:23.
WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?
Wait a minute! If Jehovah God is Creator, King, Lord, and
Savior and there is but one Lord and God as testified in Ephesians 4: 4-6,
"One body there is, and one spirit, even as YOU were
called in the one hope to which YOU were called; one Lord, one faith, one
baptism: one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in
all."
then who is Jesus Christ of Nazareth?
Jesus Christ is a mystery to many. Many have said Jesus was
a good teacher (Mark 10:17) and others have said he was a prophet (Matt.
21:11). And some even went as far as to say that Jesus was John the Baptist raised
from the dead (Matt. 16:13.14).
Today we have many who claim Christ to be all kinds of things.
But what really matters is what God claims Him to be and what Jesus claimed
about Himself. This mystery is revealed to us in the Word of God by answering
this one question: Who raised Jesus from the dead? Romans 10:9 says,
"For if you publicly declare that 'word in your own
mouth,’ that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised
him up from the dead, you will be saved."
Knowing the answer to this important question (who raised
Christ from the dead?) will save you, if you believe, God raised Jesus from the
dead. Let's continue. Since we now know that God raised Jesus from the dead lets
examine more Scripture that relates to his resurrection. Romans 8:11 says the
Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead,
"If, now, the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from
the dead dwells in YOU, he that raised up
Christ Jesus from the dead will also make YOUR mortal bodies
alive through his spirit that resides in YOU."
Now I know that Jehovah Witnesses think that the Holy
Spirit is God’s power in action, his active force. They believe it despite the
fact that the Bible gives the Holy Spirit a personal pronoun and speaks of His person hood, however, He is a person of the Godhead and also took part in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
There is no mistake that God raised Jesus from the dead. God
is called Father by many people. In
Galatians 1:1 it says God the Father raised up Jesus from
the dead,
"Paul, an apostle, neither from men nor through a man,
but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him up from the
dead."
And now for some of you the shocker,
"Jesus said to them: "Break down this temple and
in three days I will raise it up....But he was talking about the temple of his
body. When, though, he was raised up from the dead, his disciples called to
mind that he used to say this: and they believed the Scripture and the saying
that Jesus said" John 2:19-22.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God with power, also took part in
His own resurrection.
We must conclude, the evidence is clear, that the Jehovah Godhead which also includes Jesus
the Son of God and the Holy Ghost were instrumental in the resurrection. Jesus is not an angel created by God but a member of the Godhead who created
the angels and raised Himself from the dead.
It is now clear that Jesus claimed Himself to all powerful
like God. He is Jehovah the Son by the resurrection from the dead. These passages
of scripture are undeniably true. Unless you believe that God the Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit raised Jesus Christ from the dead; you cannot be saved. Jesus
said,
"YOU will die in YOUR sins. For if YOU do not believe
that I am [he], YOU will die in YOUR sins" John 8:24.
The Word of God says,
"There is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not
another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get
saved" Acts 4:12.
God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are so united within
the Godhead that they are the one God.
Philip said to Jesus,
"Show us the Father...and Jesus said, "Have I been
with YOU men so long a time, and yet, Philip, you have not come to know me? He
that has seen me has seen the Father [also]" John 14:8.9.
Jesus is the exact representation of God. Wherever you have
Jesus, you have the Father and the Holy Ghost. Wherever you have the Holy
Ghost, you also have the Father and the Son. You do not have three Gods but One. You
cannot separate one from the other. Each
one represents the other within the Godhead.
