IS THE ECONOMY REALLY DOING GREAT? By Larry Zoro

Perhaps the economy is getting better, but I don't see it. The cost of everyday stuff still fluctuates. Some prices drop a little while most prices increase. Packaging continues to expand while the product (food) shrinks. I bought some chips the other day and was amazed at how the packaging disintegrated while unsealing the top. There is a reason for that. I used to work at a packaging company. Companies should use double laminate polymer plastic so it will not explode while opening. Instead some of the companies only use a single layer. It no doubt saves them money but does it makes America great again?

The old adage of taking one step forward and two steps backward is very true in this day and age.
Supposedly the economy is doing very well but what about all the disasters? Who is paying for them? The news is out: "$306bn in one year: US bill for natural disasters smashes record." The economy was best ever, 3 percent growth but what about the growth of natural disasters? From 1980 to 2009 there was an 80 percent increase in the growth of climate-related disasters. Between 2001 and 2010, more than $1.2 trillion was lost to the increased rates of natural disasters. This was a dramatic rise, which between 1981 and 1990 had been roughly $528 billion. Yeah, we got 3 percent growth in 2017 but also hellish natural disasters.

I believe it is way too late for America to become great again. Personally, I don't think it ever was. To become great again is like saying to a cancer patient that they can be young and vibrant again. I'm not yet dumbed down and I don't like being promised things that will never happen. It is like being continually slapped in the face and then being told that life is wonderful.

We should face that fact that we need deliverance from God. We should cry daily for God to come and deliver us. We cannot deliver ourselves. It is way too late to change our nation and our world.

You can put blinders on and look or see in a narrow field of vision but it won't change reality. You might even accomplish some kind of peace of mind by your false delusions, but you are only fooling yourself by the dream world of your own making.

Exodus 6:

5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.

6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

7 And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

Do you recognize your bondage or are you a taskmaster that many are trying to escape from? When was the last time you groaned to God or are you having too much fun with the pleasures of this world and haven't cared about nothing?Perhaps that is why the Lord hasn't come yet; we don't need him to come. We are comfortable in our sins and really don't desire Heaven or having a LORD over us. We want to live the way we choose and forget about serving God.

We love our electronics and pharmakeia more than we do God. In fact, many are so addicted to their phones that they might as well be physically attached to them. Many serve their electronics more than they serve God. They are constantly doing homage to its many apps than spending time in prayer or Biblical meditation.

If you are beginning to hate life in this world like I do, then start praying for deliverance. This is not the best time to be living in and neither are we more advanced in spirituality than those of the past. We need help. Let us be single minded and start praying for deliverance.

1 John 2:15

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

Galatians 1:4

“Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:”

Matthew 6:13

“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”

2 Corinthians 1:10

“Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;”

As we pray for deliverance, have joy in God. There will be a lot more disasters happening in this world before He comes. When God delivered the Hebrews, He punished the Egyptians and the land where the Hebrews lived. The Lord will deliver His people today as He did in those early days with a strong hand. More disasters will come, but let us pray and look upward. Jesus is coming to deliver us from this evil world.
