FALSE ALARM

Many in Hawaii experienced a false alarm. They ran for cover like chickens with their heads cut off. They were not sure what building they wanted to run to. They had good reason to panic, what building would survive a nuclear blast? One man lowered a little girl in some kind of sewer pipe. He took the manhole cover off and lowered the little girl in the dark regions beneath the city. It is a sober reality when you might have only minutes to live. The false alarm that the North Koreans had sent a nuke  awakened many out of slumber into taking action to save their lives.

I am in the warning business but my alarms are real. God is ready to judge sin and we must become ready to save our lives.

2 Corinthians 5:11

“Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”

We must all run to Jesus for the shelter of our souls. He alone can save us. There is coming a day when all men must appear before the throne of God. When I appear, I will have an advocate with the Father. Jesus Christ is my advocate and champion. He died for my sins and through Him I have forgiveness of sins and cleansing.

1 John 2:1

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:”

When I trusted Jesus, He cleansed me of my sins. When I appear unto God it will be Jesus' righteousness that will be covering me. Not of good that I had done, nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Romans 3:22

“Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:”

When I appear unto God, it will be as though I never sinned.

Psalms 32:2

“Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.”

As much as my enemies would like to find fault with me, I will be beyond reproach through Jesus Christ.

God sent me forth to give the alarm. You do not have to run to and fro looking for shelter. Jesus is shelter for all those who come to Him.

Matthew 11:28

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
