The rapture is actually the event that removes a Christian, dead or alive, from the earth. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:52:
𝟭𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟰:𝟭𝟲-𝟭𝟳
𝟭𝟲 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱: 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁:

“𝗜𝗻 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘆𝗲, 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗽: 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱.”
The rapture refers to those being raised. For what purpose are they raised? They are raised unto a glorified body that will never corrupt or decay. This my friend, is the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
